Property Management Accountant — Denver, CO

The Role The Senior Property Accountant is responsible for the property accounting for a portfolio of entities. This position works closely with the Controller, Regional Managers, and Property Managers to deliver accurate, timely, and complete financial information to ownership, tax credit investors, and management. Responsibilities Reconcile all bank accounts at month end Lead the month-end close for assigned properties, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial review Provide general ledger and account analysis to the Controller Prepare monthly financial statements and owner/investor reporting packages Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bill-backs, and security deposit refunds Record non-cash entries, including amortization, accruals, loans, and depreciation Issue year-end IRS reporting, including Form 1099s Support third-party audits and work with auditors Qualifications 3-5 years of accounting experience; accounting degree preferred Property accounting experience preferred (AppFolio experience a plus) Affordable housing / LIHTC experience a plus Strong proficiency in Excel and MS Office Detail-oriented, organized, and a strong communicator Ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines Provide good customer service to ownership and support to on-site teams Job Type: Full-time, in person at our Denver headquarters (1325 S Colorado Blvd, Denver, CO 80222)
